Our Programs
Fleur De Vie has numerous partners throughout Haiti. We currently work in Port Au Prince, Mirebalais, and Anse A Veau.
Rebuilding For A Brighter Future: School in Anse-A-Veau
This project is a rebuilding efforts for our partnering school in Anse-A-Veau, providing them with hard walls and a secure roof to learn in. It's not only a great need, but proper education is a human right. Their current space leaves them vulnerable to rain fall, theft, and is infested with termites. Students should not be learning in such a dilapidated space. It's not secure for their health and it's not productive for their minds.
With a growing population (450 students), coupled with the security issues in the capital and not enough schools for this age group in the community; the need to rebuild a safe learning environment is even greater.
Fleur De Vie is committed to rebuilding this safe environment. We hope you will join us. We are accepting support now until the space is built.
Back to School Recreational Day Event
This annual flagship program is a fun-filled day to promote education and health awareness. Activities include health screening, environmental sustaining tips, and team building sports. The day ends with the distribution of school supplies to each student and teaching tools to each school.
Reading is Fundamental
This program assists schools with developing libraries. Fleur De Vie donates reading books to each partnering school to develop larger in school libraries. Fleur De Vie members and volunteers distribute library kits and implement the program.
Tools of the Trade (Teacher Training)
An annual teacher-training program, this focuses on helping teachers advance their skills and stay abreast of current teaching methods. Working with existing institutions and consultants in Haiti, we hope to improve the quality of education as well as prepare teachers for the classroom.
